WHAT IF...instead of sewing blocks for each other we simply swap 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch fussy cuts? Then we can put our fussy cuts in a regular envelope and do all the sewing ourselves at our leisure. It would be so easy we could send each other a lot more fussy cuts which is what I'm wanting anyway. Eight of us are signed up- super exciting! If you have an opinion one way or the other, please share. :) If you'd like to do it this way please indicate how many you'd like to swap.

That sounds easier to me, Camie.
ReplyDeletegood idea, Camie! I could do 10 swatches (or more).
ReplyDeleteAre we swapping with just one person or sending swatches to everyone?
ReplyDeleteI think it would be fun to swap with everyone.
ReplyDeleteI went downtown to a quilt shop this morning and went a little crazy. I can easily send everyone 20 swatches of completely different fabrics. I was able to stuff a ziplock bag full of scraps for $5 then I splurged on a few other fabrics (it's rare for me to buy fabric at $11.99 per yard- yikes!) and that was after my trip to JoAnns! This swap will be fun. :) Nobody has to send me that many but I figure I may as well send that many out to each person. Not sure what I'd do with these little remnants of chopped up fabric.
I got a package in the mail today! I am so excited! It is the middle of the night and I am not sleeping (boo) and I am tempted to go upstairs to find me some fussy cuts!
