Scrappy Tiny Squares

I'm still trying to figure out where I went wrong.  None of my corners matched up!  I even used a 1/4" foot.  Cami, were all the fabrics you sent out part of a collection?  If I can find some more of it, I would like to make you another.  With squares that match up.  :)xo

Thanksgiving stars, triangles, corners and scraps, oh my!

I have been feeling so guilty about my procrastination and so I reserved today to catch up and I did!!

I did Cami's September scraps before September even ended. Wahoo! What a cute fun square! I hope you enjoy it Cami!
I used two favorites from my own flag quilt from last year for Teriney's missing corners and sol even approved the fabri choices!
I hope Becca's triangles fit in the group. What a fun quilt this will be!
And the biggest source of guilt went to this lovely. I am so very sorry that it is so late. And I promise the oranges are more orange-y in person.
Thank you, my friends for being patient with me. I had a lovely day at my mothers sewing up a storm and lessening my guilt!

A guilty conscience no more!

So, after a wonderful vacation to Utah and Vancouver, Canada, I came home to real life.  Back to school for the kids, a Van Gogh birthday party to pull together, a new church calling for me (YW President, could be interesting....) and general craziness.  And then my daughter got her first American Girl doll for her birthday, so naturally, what sewing time I did find, was spent making Emily the doll fun bedding, including a quilt, a couple shirts, a skirt and a fancy dress to round out her wardrobe.  But finally, finally I said to myself enough!  I must repent and sew for my quilt club!  And sew/so I did.

Becca, I got a little carried away cutting triangles, but since you are making a large duvet cover, I figured a few extra wouldn't be a problem. :)  I hope the colors are okay, I tried to match as best I could with what I had.
Teriney,  if I had access to Kona white, I totally would have sewed you a couple more blocks as well.  You know, as penitence, but alas, no fabric store near me has heard of it.  But I loved making your blocks.  Simple, but very effective and dramatic when finished.

And Camie, even though I haven't received your fabric in the mail yet, I have already begun cutting out squares just so I don't get so behind again.  How happy I am that we didn't have a new block in August as well!  That may have sent me over the edge. :)

Camie's September Scrappies

Ooh, I loved this one!! I loved working with those tiny little squares, and then putting it all together!

Great pick, Camie! I hope my scrappy contribution is bright enough.

Shipping tomorrow!
PS- I ended up with a few extra squares so I'm including them- hopefully you can use them...

Teriney's July Blocks in September

For you, T- love. These were fun. I'll make you more if you want.

Missing Corners & Friends

This was fun!  Having just moved 1484 miles away from Teriney, I am missing her (and all my Arkansas buddies) even more than these squares miss their corners. I've joined a quilting group here, but it's gonna take a while to find my groove.

That looks like black, but it's navy.  for reals.

bustin' scraps for Camie

here's my square for my cousin, Camie...

The corners didn't line up perfectly, but hopefully she'll still take it.  :)

Fortunately, my mailman didn't steal the scrappy squares she sent!
