I'm still in my pajamas because I started a quilt and haven't been able to stop. Rainy days are good for sewing.
I totally love it! The pattern is Java Stars and can be found here:
the fabric is Michael Miller Sanctuary with some moda Sugar Pop and misc stuff from Joann's and Hobby Lobby.
I am going to have to shower and get dressed so I can find a solid for the border. oh, and pick up my kids from school.
what color solid would you use?

this is fantastic, Emily! I would definitely border in gray...what is the size? I will add this one to my project list:)
ReplyDeleteamazing! i love the colors. i might use one of the prints from the quilt as a border. that bluish one with white print or the yellow w/ white stripes would look neat.
ReplyDeleteawesome!! my eye is drawn to the blues so i would pick up the yellows to contrast for a border
ReplyDeleteright now, it's 54" square. I'm going to add a solid border and then 4" squares of the prints all the way around, like the example. Then a binding. It's supposed to be 67" x 67" when finished. Gray is one of my favorite colors and I'm leaning towards that since the patchwork border will be busy and bright.
ReplyDeleteI totally love that pattern. It was one I contemplated for my square month, but I didn't think it would work coming form 12 different people.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love this!
ReplyDeleteOh Emily, this is great!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I can't wait to see the finished quilt.
