Then I found this nifty binding technique that offered three splendid advantages:
1) no hand-stitching! all done by machine
2) a neat faux piping effect that I ADORE
3) solved the problem of not having enough of the binding fabric to do a traditional binding
yay! now what?
gorgeous!!
ReplyDeletePERFECT! I love your colors...and that binding is so unique! Nice work, girly! Did you choose the small meandering this time? Next? Hmmmm...Theo's 1st birthday is in July:)
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern, Emily. You do beautiful work. I am coming up with a stack of projects to take to the Arkansas Man Quilter. Need to save some pennies up! Glad to hear you are happy with his work. Do you have a preference of which of the meandering sizes you like for your quilts?
ReplyDeleteHe did a MEDIUM meander on both quilts. If anything, I'd go larger and not smaller. He also has some simple pantograph designs that are the same price as the medium meander (12 cents/sq in). He sent me a PDF of them and I'll email it to you. He also gave me a 10% discount on quilt #2 for being a return customer. I told him that the next one should be 20% off. lol.
