It won't be long until I am ready to topstitch but I don't know what to do. Could you please share as many ideas as you can come up with? I am not sure whether to avoid topstitching in the polaroids or avoid them.
Emily- please share your polaroid quilt. I saw the top and it was amazing. I'd like to see how you topstitched it. :)

Wow, that looks like so much work! My fussy cuts are sitting in a pile somewhere in my sewing room. I would stitch in the ditch on all the major seams. But, I'm not very imaginative when it comes to the actual quilting.

ReplyDeleteThose are good ideas. Maybe I'll do a combination of the two- stitch in the ditch in the major seams (where the 16" blocks meet) to hold it all together then meander through each large block. At first I thought I might not meander but I love how quilts looks after they're washed with all that quilting. It's just a lot of work! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you stitch in the ditch, it Looks like you can divide each block in half going up and down and then in thirds going across. Personally I like the finished look of meandering/stippling.
