Pinwheels Finished!

I finished the binding last night!
I love it so much! Thank you all so much for making these beautiful squares!

I finally got over my fear of machine quilting and finished it Saturday morning. I was so excited to get it out again and the quilting went much better after honing my skills all these months! :)

I'll try to post more detailed pics soon but for now, thank you lovely ladies!

    I did the meandering by hand! If you remember, I started it last winter, but kept getting the tension messed up. The back was a mess and I had to pick out more than half of it! It was a nightmare! I talked to Kathie Marshall who does stippling on her machine all the time and she said I was using the wrong thread (needed cotton, not all purpose) and to loosen my tension. I was scared of it for many months but I have kept machine quilting smaller things like my handbags and I think that really made the difference-practicing on smaller stuff! I took it out last Friday and it was a breeze! I also meandered a lot looser this time-you can totally tell which side I started with and which I finished with if you look close! But the looser side looks more natural and comfortable. there are a few puckers in back, but they aren't big and I don't think it will matter once I wash it.

    It's amazing, Liz. Beautiful. I want to machine quilt my quilt, but I'm so SCARED! Do you mind giving me some pointers? You definitely recommend practicing on smaller stuff first? What kind of machine do you have and what foot did you use. Did you find a tutorial somewhere? Do you mind emailing me at servosand@yahoo.com?
