This is the inspiration quilt.
Here is the color pallet
(leaving out white and buttercream)!
You will need
-16 4.5x4.5 inch squares of Kona White. Mine has 25 if you are feeling generous you can do the same.
-Scraps from the color pallet
“Picky Nicky”
I was given the nickname “Picky Nicky” before I could
walk. I have learned to embrace the
nickname. There is nothing wrong with a
girl who knows what she likes… right?
Here are my picky requests.
-Use only colors from the pallet (leaving out white and buttercream)!
-Use at least 8
of the colors from the pallet.
-Solids are welcome. Use each solid only once.
-Only use each print once
or twice.
-The print should be no more than half of the 4.5x4.5 inch
square so the print should be a triangle.
-The style of the quilt is modern, so match the fabric to the style of the quilt.
- For this particular square please do not include prints
with fruits or animals. I am sure there
is an exception; consult with me if there is an animal or fruit you feel should be included.
Directions
This is so easy you probably don't need directions but here goes just in case.
Take your 4.5 inch square and sew along the print using a 1/4 inch seam allowance.
Press
Trim
The back will look like this.
If for any reason your print doesn't have a 1/4 inch seam allowance, trim it so it does. Do not trim the white.
Repeat 25 more times and assemble the squares.
Make sure...
-all triangles are in the bottom left of the square
-the print is a triangle
-all seams are pressed open
Please email me if you would like me to send you Kona white!
