Polka Dots and Stars

I have a slight love affair with polka dots! I'm naturally attracted to them. So I'm using them in this pattern.

Here's what you need:
Kona white fabric
Polka dot fabric. Please have the base color and white dots, or white base and single color dots. Stay away from multi color dots. Thanks. Here's some examples. Most colors are welcome, just stay away from dark jewel tones. I do like navy, black and gray for dark colors,

Cut 8, 5 inch squares of Kona white
Pick 4 colors and cut 2, 5 inch squares of each.

Pair up a white and a color right sides together. Draw a diagonal line from top left to bottom right.

Using the line as your 1/4 guide sew on both sides of the line and cut in half on the line.

Open the two squares and iron seam to the colored side.
Trim the corners

Once all the corners are trimmed, arrange the set of 4 like this. Sew together.

Square it off.  Repeat 3 more times.

Once all 4 color squares are done arrange the blocks like this
Now you can sew them together, iron it flat, and be done!
This should be quick and easy.
Thanks ladies. Let me know if you are in need of fabric, I'm happy to send some.
