Kristin's stones...and other stuff

Here you go, Rachel! This was a fun one!

I've been working on a few other things lately. I thought I would post some photos of the quilts...
My Grandpa Hendricks was diagnosed with Alzheimers recently. There isn't much I can do, so I figured a quilt was it! At least I can help keep him warm, and covered with a layer of love:)
I didn't have a pattern for this, just used some scraps and quilted by hand to experiment.
I thoroughly enjoyed the process, and will try it again for sure.

Next, was a tutorial that I saw on Sew Mama Sew for a picnic blanket. We spend a lot of time at the soccer fields these days, a nice soft quilt will be great to keep in the back of the car for getting cozy on the sidelines....
This was the first time I had done a quilt without binding. I LOVED this process and the results!
This was also the first time I have sone hand-tying. I love the playful feel it gives this balnket.

Again, I used scraps for this one. The only thing I had to buy was the batting...100% bamboo- my fave!
Last but not least- I don't think I ever shared pics of the quilt I made for Theo's 1st Birthday.
I had so much fun with this one. I used Sherbet Pips by Aneela Hoey. This color scheme is just delicious...
I didn't have a pattern for this one, and if you study the pictures you can tell:)
I backed with blue minky - and purchased all of this fabric especially for this project. It might be my favorite quilt so far...

So, there you go! What have you been working on???
