The Barefoot Contessa's Bolognese would definitely win the best in show at Tobler Sunday dinners! So the tomato wins the prize!

Merry Christmas 2012...2013.
I started making table runners for my sisters back in 2012 and never finished them. Since I was going home this Christmas, it had to be done. Like most things I do, I forgot to take pictures of them...oops. But my sister-friend Jessi was nice enough to send me some pictures of two of them.
This one went to Nikki. I love how it turned out. I think I did a pinwheel pattern? With a red, white and teal pattern. I even went fancy with pointed edges. ;)
This beautiful feather runner went to Jessi. She decorates her home with lots of bright, fun colors. I knew it would be right at home with her. Thank you to all the wonderful 12Squared ladies for contributing to this one. I think she likes it! I even left my silly fat feather...I kind of like the mistakes I sometimes make in quilting / sewing. It let's people know that although it's not perfect, it was stitch by a human, and probable with lots of love.
Here is to 2014! I have a few more projects near completion...maybe this will be the year they get finished?!
Hugs,
Teriney

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, all!
Hope everyone has had a great holiday and is ready to hop back into the sewing of things!
We are pleased to welcome Amy as our newest member and some of our oldies but goodies back this year.
Holly sent me this on Pinterest and it's just too good not to share.

Petals in December
Do you remember way back in January 2012 when I picked this pattern? I just finished this quilt last night as a gift for my 12yo daughter, Emily (we haven't opened Christmas gifts yet). I can't wait for her to open it!
Thanks for making such lovely petals.
Oh, and here's a t-shirt quilt I made for my 13yo son in October...
I'm not even gonna show you the back because there were issues. But teenage boys don't seem to mind that stuff.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered
Finally got this delight finished up.
It was way too large to quilt on my machine, but I did it anyway.
It's nice and crinkly and soft.
Just the way I like 'em.
Thanksgiving was my motivation. With a houseful of overnight guests coming, I was in need of some extra bedding!
Thanks to the amazing Ayumi, who doesn't even know how much I admire her skills, for the idea.

Joan Harris dresses
I can't help but think of these lovely dresses as anything but perfect for an episode of Mad Men! So hopefully Joan would love what I designed!
Mom, i am so embarrassed at how late these are. I ran out of green thread but more alarmingly, I've been a little low on sewing mojo! I hope they fit with your lovely quilt!! Love you!!

November: Blue Ribbon Quilt
Vintage prize ribbons have been on my mind for months and I've been pondering and scheming how to incorporate them into a quilt. This block is sort of a culmination of ideas that have been brewing in the back of my head for a while. My plan is to eventually get this concept into a pattern that I can sell on my Etsy site, so, I'll be emailing the directions as opposed to publishing them here. Hope you don't mind being my guinea pigs!
Here's the color palette:
I'm straying from our beloved Kona white and asking you to use unbleached muslin for the block background and fabrics that favor more of an off-white or creamy color as opposed to bright white. I realize some of my inspiration fabrics have white in them, and that's okay by me if the fabric is just too fantastic not to use!
These are smaller blocks (about 6" x 9"), so if you're inclined to do more than one, let me know-- I have several variations in mind, but I don't have pictures of them yet. And, if you would like me to send you some unbleached muslin or fabric, I'd be happy to. I'll be in Little Rock Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week, so I could bring stuff with me if you are in need.
